There are some things in life that we have no control over and that cannot be forced into existence no matter how hard you might try or how persistently you might try to will it to be and even your insatiable nagging to God to let it be, may never make it possible.
Sometimes we just need to understand that the only option we have is to be patient and let life take its course and one of my favorite sayings “If it is meant to be, it will be. “
Every one of us knows exactly what we want out of life, and we are always hoping that we get everything just as we expect it to be for us, but only God really knows what life we are truly meant to live. Only God can see what path you will take and what will occur throughout your lifespan and when you find it necessary to ask him for help along the way, remember that God helps those who help themselves.
If you are just sitting back waiting for God to hand you everything, you will be in for a great surprise. God has already created us and given us a world full of everything we needed to make life whatever we want it to be, he is not going to just throw all of our wishes and dreams into our laps for us.
What would be the point in that? How would we ever learn to survive in this world, if we never did anything for ourselves? We can always pray for his guidance and share with him our hopes for what we would like to have occur in our lives, but we must learn to work for those things as well and to be patient for the outcomes.
I myself, have a terrible time with patience. I do not like to wait for things to happen for me, I see what I want, and I work tirelessly to see how I can make it possible for me to have it. If it’s in front of me, I reach for it and attempt to make it mine now, because I am so afraid it will not be there later, and I will have lost that opportunity forever. This is not always the best laid plan. We must let life come as it should and allow for the timing in our lives to be right, for the dreams we seek to come true.
Having patience is never easy and it always comes with a price. If you are holding out for a certain position in your career, it may be a while before this takes place and you may find yourself struggling financially while you wait it out, especially if you, like myself, stepped away from your last position and are no longer working at all. Being patient can be stressful and frustrating, but the meaning of patience is the ability to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset, so we must find the strength to endure this peacefully.
Someone once told me, “Peace is only from within yourself, you always have it in you. If the outside world is lacking the peace you seek, just go inside yourself to bring it out. It is a choice to let others drag you down, do not let them” It is a beautiful soul that holds this belief and someone to treasure for sure. These are words I will always hold in my heart and learn to live by every day while I seek my ability to be patient for my purpose in life to take place.
Every one of us has a purpose in life and a destination in life, a reason for being and a pathway that we are to follow along the way. There will not always be smooth roads and shining lights, we may sometimes find ourselves on some bumpy terrain with very dim, even dark moments throughout our travels, but somewhere along the way, God will shine a light and see us through to brighter and better paths once again.
Every one of us has a soulmate that connects with us perfectly in life and fits in our lives like a glove and every one of us has a love of our lives, that person that you are meant to find and fall in love with. The person who we are meant to share our lives with, that makes us feel as if we have found the piece of the puzzle that fits perfectly into our heart and fills it entirely.
Someone that makes us smile and feel a sudden burst of uncontrollable happiness every time we think of them. That someone that makes our entire inside feel full of warmth and comfort every time we are near them. Some one you can never imagine life without. Sadly, for some, these people are never found, or they are found but the chance was never taken to make it happen. For others they found them almost instantly and lived their entire lives with them by their side, these are the very fortunate indeed. There are even some who find them and have them but only for a short time before God takes what he borrowed to them, back home.
We can never know when life will throw out a curveball and force our entire lives to start over. All of the work we did making it through the life we were living so far, now seems meaningless and a waste of time, but its not. All of that time you spent living your life prior to the moment the darkness set in, it is what you were supposed to do, and it taught you life lessons that you will carry with you on your next path in life.
The road may have gotten bumpy, and the shine may have been lost but the pathway ahead of you is yours to carve out and the direction you head in, is yours to choose. The light will appear, and the lord is always there if you ask him to guide you, but you must be patient and find peace and understanding along the way.
As the bible verse says: Trust in the lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths. -Proverbs 3:5.
