The Man I See

I see a man who has a heart of gold, a man who has a smile that truly melts my soul. I see a man that would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need, a man that loves his children more than life itself. I see a man that would stand in front of a train to protect any one of our children without batting an eye. I see a man that loves his family and cherishes his time with them. I see a man that works himself to the bone every single day. I see a man with pride, honor, and the need to be reminded that he deserves to have respect in himself, and he deserves respect from those he loves.

I see a man, who made some mistakes in his past just as we all have. I see a man that enjoys the concept of being in love, having a partner, a best friend, and someone to be his confidant in life. I see a man who is just that to me and makes me feel so incredibly special and loved every minute of every hour of every single day and I am blessed to give him the same, he makes it easy to love him more and more every day.

 I see a man who has the strength to admit when he is wrong and the patience to understand when I make a mistake and when I am having a bad day. I see a man who loves me beyond all of my faults and stands beside me when I need him most and behind me when I am starting to fall.

 I see a man who builds my confidence when its crumbling and believes in me even when I am not believing in myself.

I see a man that without hesitation, he chose to love my children as if they were his own and raised children that I cannot help but love as if they were my own, because he has instilled such amazing qualities in them both. I see a man engaging my youngest child as a father would and teaching him what it means to be a man with the knowledge, I would want him to have myself.

I see a man who believes in family bonds and would go to the ends of the earth for any and all of his family. I see a man who loves unconditionally, who has so much love and respect for me that he truly, even when watching tv, only has eyes for me.

I see a man that some do not seem to see and that is sad but true, but no matter what anyone else believes, baby I believe in you. I never listened to others when it came to who I loved before and for those trying to sway me now, for those who do not have kind things to say about the one I love, I will also be happy to show you the door.

Hardworking, loving, unyielding kindness, honorable, incredibly giving, and perfect for me, that is the man that I love and that is the man that I see.
