Home is where my heart is...

Over the past few years I have transitioned from my birth home of Detroit, Michigan where I have lived for 42 years of my life, to the very furthest north you can go in Michigan , 30 minutes south of Copper Harbor, Mi where I lived for 2 years and now I am presently and permanently in Wisconin for the last 2 years. I love it here. I own a beautiful home and have currently been hired by a fantastic local Health facility.

This year two of my boys graduated from college, one with a bachelors in business and marketing and one with an associates in criminal justice and starting a career as a police officer and his girlfriend of 3 years is in school for cosmetology. My oldest son is currently working as a mortgage lender for a prestigous firm with an impeccable reputation here in Wisconsin and his girlfriend of 7 years is a Registered Nurse. My youngest son just turned 11 and is incredibly smart and talented. I couldn't be more proud of my children and the job my husband and I did raising them.

I am married 26 years this year to my best friend since high school and am looking forward to many more years to come.

So, here I am in Wisconsin, a few short minutes from Lambeau field and living the dream as a registered nurse and a proud mom and wife.

I spend most of my time decorating my new home, Hobby Lobby is my favorite obsession and has brought wonderful beauty to my home. If you haven't been there, you are really missing out. I practice yoga, not religously but as much as I can and I am half way through my bachelors program for nursing. This blog is my newest addition to my hobbies and joys in my life. I am eternally greatful to all of my viewers for being apart of this new adventure with me.

No, I don't have answers for a perfect marriage, but I can tell you a strong marriage takes alot of hard work and communication and compromise to last. Raising strong, dedicated and smart children takes work and complete focus on strong moral values , instilling confidence, strong will and sharp minds. You must be dedicated to your children and be their example and their guide. You won't always be perfect at it but if you make the effort you can be succesful.

Keeping faith in God and having him as the cornerstone during some of our broken moments, made life, parenting, and marriage easier to manage.

I give all the glory of my successes to my Lord and Savior. Without being able to share my failures with him and ask for his guidance , my world would be a mess.

I am truly thankful for all I have, for my family, my friends and my faith.

I share all of this with you to give you a little insight on the woman behind the writings and to let you know if there is anything along the way that I learn or stumble upon that can be helpful in your world I will certainly share.

I don't want to be just a writer behind the blog , but a friend and a resource, another option of thought and a good story that warms your heart and perhaps shines a light on your path.

Many Blessings to all of you and May God Bless
