With every sunrise there is a sunset, with every falling rain there is a rainbow and with every end of life there is a new life to begin. This is the beauty that God graciously shares with all of mankind. Psalm 34:17 - The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
As I am sitting here today, I am wondering what is next for me, where do I go from here? Every morning I share my coffee with the Lord and the spirit of my sweet husband, whom I lost this year. I confide in them my thoughts for my future, I ask for them to shine a light on the path that I should follow and to comfort me in the choices that I make. I pray that they will pick me up when I fall and fill me with happiness when I succeed. Every night I ask the lord to watch over my children and protect them, to guide them in their lives and to shower his glory and grace over my family and friends.
Our world was never meant to be perfect, and challenges were bestowed upon us to provide us the opportunity to prove how we would overcome, what choices we would make and if they would be righteous in the lord. I know personally, I have faltered a few times in the eyes of the lord and in those times, I have reached out and prayed for the lord’s forgiveness. There are times now when I look to the lord and ask, what have I done that you would take away from my children and myself and look for me to start over? What is it that you are expecting of me? How can I please you? Are the choices I am making now finding your blessings? I feel within my soul that I am destined for something better than even I can fathom now, but I know that the greatness of the Lord will see me through, and his grace and love will carry me through the new life I must lead.
I am in no way asking you to share in my beliefs but instead asking you to open your hearts and minds to what will bring you happiness and follow that path. Life is short and not without trials, so find what fills your heart and soul with light and live it. Do not just be in life but make your life what you want it to be, let it make you shine. If you find love, grab hold of it before the opportunity is lost and let it flourish within in and around you.
Stop being hateful and angry with the life you have and remember that your life is what you make it and if you are not pleased with it, then change it! Do not wait until its too late and then find yourself regretting all the wasted time and the chances you missed.
When the good Lord opens a window, leap through it, find what makes your soul shine and your heart race with joy and rejoice in it!!
It is not easy to move on or to make a new path in life, but if you stay on the same train and never get off, you are likely to miss your Willoughby (the destination that finds you basking in happiness, peace, and tranquility). I hopped off the old train I was riding, and I am currently not only riding but driving a new one, searching for a destination filled with new joy, love, and the blessings of the Lord.
