Don't Wait for the Coroner's Call

We all resort to a little mischief once in a while, a little past time fun. We engage in enjoying a nice a drink, a great dessert, a little shopping trip, a fulfilling meal. Some people go even deeper than this and they may resort to a nice smoke, cigarette, cigar, joint. Others delve even deeper than that, a few shrooms, a line of coke, crack, heroine and so on… You get the picture. For most of us we have a line in the sand that we will never cross, but there are some that will try anything at least once. There are many who have no choice because they are the addicted souls that cannot walk away and even find themselves on occasion unable to deny the urge to go and get it. For those that are willing to try anything once and the ones burdened with addiction there is a very scary outcome to all of this, death!

The really important information that we all need to keep in mind and be aware of is that these street drugs are not clean drugs, they are not safe period. First you are affecting your heart to greatest degree. Your heart is being overworked and increasing in size with the use of these drugs.

A heart attack or stroke are at an increased possibility at any time. You are literally playing Russian roulette with your organs and your life.

The biggest and most important factor I want to make you aware of today, is FENTANYL. It is being laced into these street drugs and being passed off in pill form for pain and it is an instant killer. Fentanyl overdoses have become the No. 1 cause of death among US adults, ages 18-45.

More adults between 18 and 45 died of fentanyl overdoses in 2020 than COVID-19, motor vehicle accidents, cancer, and suicide. Fentanyl overdoses have surged to the leading cause of death for adults between the ages of 18 and 45, according to an analysis of U.S. government data.

Between 2020 and 2021, nearly 79,000 people between 18 and 45 years old — 37,208 in 2020 and 41,587 in 2021 — died of fentanyl overdoses, the data analysis from opioid awareness organization Families Against Fentanyl shows.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that can be deadly even in very small amounts, and other drugs, including heroin, meth, and marijuana, can be laced with the dangerous drug. Mexico and China are the primary sources for the flow of fentanyl into the United States, according to the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). (Fentanyl overdoses become No. 1 cause of death among US adults, ages 18-45: 'A national emergency' | Fox News)

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. It is a major contributor to fatal and nonfatal overdoses in the U.S.

There are two types of fentanyl: pharmaceutical fentanyl and illicitly manufactured fentanyl. Both are considered synthetic opioids. Pharmaceutical fentanyl is prescribed by doctors to treat severe pain, especially after surgery and for advanced-stage cancer.

However, most recent cases of fentanyl-related overdose are linked to illicitly manufactured fentanyl, which is distributed through illegal drug markets for its heroin-like effect. It is often added to other drugs because of its extreme potency, which makes drugs cheaper, more powerful, more addictive, and more dangerous. Illicitly manufactured fentanyl (IMF) is available on the drug market in different forms, including liquid and powder.

Powdered fentanyl looks just like many other drugs. It is commonly mixed with drugs like heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine and made into pills that are made to resemble other prescription opioids. Fentanyl-laced drugs are extremely dangerous, and many people may be unaware that their drugs are laced with fentanyl.

In its liquid form, IMF can be found in nasal sprays, eye drops, and dropped onto paper or small candies. (CDC, Fentanyl Facts (cdc.gov)

Street Drugs in themselves are already slowly killing you if you partake in using them, but in today’s world, slow is not necessarily what you will be getting. The reality in today’s world is that we are losing many of our loved ones, our friends, and many others so very often these days to the spin of the roulette table landing on sudden death due to Fentanyl.

I have always been one to stand strongly against cigarettes and the harm that they do to your lungs and the slow death that they cause. I will never stop fighting that fight but, I would not be who I am or feel good about who I am, if I did not use my voice and my writing to speak up about the evils of drugs and the risk you are taking every time you utilize any street drugs. There is no safety net or safe haven where you can enter to make sure what you are getting is not laced with this killer.

Of course, you are never doing yourself any favors to ingest any street drugs period. I have heard of too many deaths due to fentanyl in the last 6 years or more and I am begging everyone to please stay away from drugs period. Don’t take the risk, it is truly becoming an 8 out 10 chance that you will be the next one we are standing over and crying our hearts out because you are gone.

I wrote “The Devil’s Lullaby” regarding this very topic:

I share a lot about my faith in the Lord, but I would be remiss to forget that the devil is still working his magic. There is a world out there where people go to make themselves feel invincible, where they are lured into a false pretense of believing that by participating in the wares slyly being passed their way, they can get away from their worries and slip into a lulling feeling of relief and release of all their stresses in life.

The devil comes in all forms, and he is only looking out for his own best interest, he is working with determination to prove to the Lord that he is more powerful and that his following will prevail over good. He comes into the darkness of your soul and plays with your mind as he works to persuade you to come to his side and he instills in your psyche the idea that you are worthless and that your world is crumbling around you and that you will never climb your way out of the deep dark hole you feel you have fallen into.

This demon dangles false hope and a peaceful means to it all, in front of you and convinces you that by indulging in his sweet methods of self-medication you too can find happiness and sanctuary away from it all. What is missing from all this luring and baiting is the reality that with this, you will eventually become the victim of a trap you cannot fight your way out of and no matter how hard you fight, no matter how strong you think you are, you will find yourself losing the battle more often than not.

The truth is there are never easy answers or quick fixes that will take it all away. Life was never meant to be easy; God took that gift away when Adam and Eve ate the apple and forsake the lord, again at the devil’s hand and his filthy bag of tricks and persuasion. Life is hard, but only if you choose to make it hard.

Yes, you have the choice. You can look at your life and see the many blessings you hold, such as your life and your good health, the love of your loved ones and their good health, the home you have created and the children you bore. You see there are so many things we take for granted and choose not to see when we bury ourselves in negativity and personal pity. When we wallow in despair and wade in the dark waters of guilt and depression, anger and frustration, hopelessness, and greed.

The devil is a deceptive creature, and he has many minions doing his idle work. These minions are the drug makers and dealers, the breweries, the wineries and whiskey refineries, the tobacco industry, the casinos and so much more. While these minions line their pockets at the expense of your life, they will get their turn for the devil will most certainly watch them burn.

Yes, I know we mustn’t blame these industries for our downfalls, it is first and foremost our choice to consume of these products, therefore placing ourselves to blame at the center of the problem. We are choosing to find happiness from a bottle, a plant, a powder, a needle, a pill, and an animated machine, or whatever your choice may be.

The problem with these choices is that they will never solve your problems, they will never provide you the fairy dust to change it all for the better and make all of your dreams come true. What they will do, is take away every bit of your happiness, eat away at your mind, your organs, your pocketbook, and your sanity. These choices will take away your loved ones, your personal possessions, and your life.

So, while you are driving on the road toward what you perceive is going to be the answer to all your happiness for a couple of hours, days, weeks, months, or years, if you are lucky and while you are listening to the devil’s whisper in your ear and his song in your head, remember he is singing a lullaby that only finds you dead. (KLNELSON,2021)

I hope you will all help me fight against this evil killer and I hope you will take heed and find help. Stay far away from the dealers on the streets and the strangers offering you relief and fight your demons. The only true peace you will ever find is through the lord. Remember, yours is a life worth saving. Fighting against this and spreading the word just may save your family members, your best friend, your child, your spouse, and you from that deadly fall. Don’t wait for the coroner’s call.

Let’s stand strong against these drug dealers, keep them out of our cities, our states, and our country. Life is too beautiful to waste it on them and the wares they are pushing. Just say NO!!
