When the time comes and you are face to face with our creator, what will you have to answer for? Will you have bestowed enough grace in this world to make your way into those pearly gates of heaven? Have you ever taken the time to think about your last day on this earth and what kind of legacy you will be leaving behind? How will you be remembered?
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.-Psalm 23
This is what I know. This is what I believe. These words give me assurance and a sense of peace that I will one day find my place in paradise. These words remind me that we do not have to find finality, but that our lives can be everlasting if we only have faith in the lord.
I have not been a perfect person in this life I have been blessed with, but I know that I have asked forgiveness for my sins and I have vowed to work hard to never stray again from being everything that is right through the eyes of the lord.
So many of our peers and loved ones are passing on lately and suddenly life seems shorter and shorter for all of us who are left living. The question is, will you let those losses get the best of you and hinder the life you have left, or will you challenge yourself to live better in order to live longer?
Will you decide to live the life you always wanted to, or will you continue living a life of frustration and regret? Will you fulfill your every happiness and show your gratitude towards Him, so that He and others may see what it means to live a life of gratefulness, happiness, and joyous satisfaction?
Will you choose to live free? Free of the burdens, free of regret, free of anger and disappointment. Will you learn to reach for your perfect life and take ownership of it?
Don’t just celebrate the holidays, celebrate every day. Celebrate the beauty that surrounds you every day. Celebrate everything you already have in your life. The people you love, the items you possess and the friendships you have. Cherish it all.
There will always be mishaps and bumps in the road, take them on with a smile, find the positive within the negative and do not let the hardships get the best of you.
Do not harbor resentment towards others or other things. Let go of all the bad, all the hatred, and let yourself truly live. Fulfill all of your hopes and dreams. Be a force to be reckoned with and do not allow anything to change your direction, make you rethink your perspective, or destroy your beliefs that you will achieve, and you will succeed.
Be the one that makes other see that they can too. Be an inspiration and a beacon of hope for others. Find your faith and live your life knowing that the Lord will never you let you fall if you just believe.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. -Psalm 37:24
LET YOUR LEGACY BE ONE THAT SHINES AS BRIGHT AS THE SUN!
